Sakshar Desai, MS is a Collaborating Biostatistician for the Center for Biostatistics and Health Data Science (CBHDS). He recently obtained his Master’s degree in Statistics from Virginia Tech in December 2023, where he gained expertise in design of experiments, linear models, statistical inference, Bayesian statistics, time series analysis, and machine learning, through coursework and projects. Upon graduation, he started at CBHDS as a volunteer in February 2024. With his solid background in statistical analysis using R programming language, he assists the Center by performing data cleaning and statistical analyses to support various research projects that come through the Center.
