In early April 2024, members of the CBHDS team traveled to Las Vegas to attend the 2024 Translational Science Annual Meeting (TS24), a conference hosted by the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) Program where researchers, clinicians, industry professionals, and policymakers are able to share cutting-edge research, discuss best practices, and collaborate to advance translational science.

At TS24, Director Dr. Alex Hanlon and Assistant Director Ms. Alicia Lozano contibuted to a total of three panel discussions and one poster session in partnership with their colleagues from the national Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design Special Interest Group (BERD SIG) and the integrated Translational Health Research Institute of Virginia (iTHRIV) covering the following topics: 1) training, retaining, promoting and integrating collaborative biostatisticians,  2) health equity engineering (HEE), and 3) programs seeking to bring awareness and diversity to the field of collaborative biostatistics, such as the CBHDS'  Collaborative Undergraduate Biostatistics Experience (CUBE) program.

For more information related to the contributions of the CBHDS team, see below the titles and speakers for all sessions at TS24.
