April 11, 2025, Dr. Benjamin Brewer, Research Scientist at Virginia Tech's Center for Biostatistics and Health Data Science (CBHDS) presented during the iTHRIV Research Methods Core Spring 2025 Seminar series. "Getting Grouping Right: Choosing Cutpoints in Biomarker Studies," was hosted on Zoom from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Over 30 participants joined the talk to learn from Dr. Brewer's expertise in statistical methods for cutoff estimation under tree and umbrella ordering settings, including advanced statistical concepts in biomedical applications such as biomarker measurement and Euclidean distance.
