Designing Rigorous & Reproducible Research Workflows Workshop

Researchers at all career stages are invited to join us for a two-day, in-person workshop focused on practical strategies for making research more rigorous, reproducible, collaborative, and sustainable.

Designed for PIs, postdocs, lab managers, research staff, and graduate students, the workshop will cover:

  • Rigorous Design — Strengthen study planning, design, analysis, and reporting.
  • Data Management — Organize, document, integrate, and manage research data effectively.
  • Reproducible Workflows — Build workflows using shared organization, version control, consistent software environments, and automation.
  • Responsible Use of AI — Explore practical uses of AI while considering privacy, accuracy, security, and research integrity.
  • Virginia Tech Resources — Learn where to find expertise and support for study design, grants, data, computing, and team-based research.

Participants will leave with practical approaches they can apply to their own research and research teams.

Light breakfast and lunch will be provided, and free parking is available. Participants can also earn a badge for attendance, and workshop credits can be applied toward computer refresh credits through TLOS.
