Carilion Clinic’s Office of Continuing Professional Development and the Research & Development Department partnered up to develop and launch the 2020-2021 Research Series for faculty and staff at Carilion Clinic, Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, and Radford University Carilion. In May 2021, Dr. Ian Crandell, Research Scientist at the Center for Biostatistics and Health Data Science (CBHDS) at Virginia Tech and Dr. Tonja Locklear from the Health Analytics Research Team at Carilion Clinic presented a talk entitled “Collaborating with Your Biostatistician”. Topics of discussion included: identifying resources and services for statistical support at both institutions, along with recognizing the importance of a statistical analysis plan.
